Colorado Spurs: A Brief History
The Colorado Spurs Supporters Club was founded in 2006 by two Denver natives and Tottenham Hotspur fans who had recently returned from a trip to London and White Hart Lane.
Over the years, the supporters club has grown in numbers as Spurs supporters in the region continued to meet and organize. Originally, the group could be found watching matches at the British Bulldog or the now defunct Three Lions World Football Pub (when not making numerous trips to London to watch our beloved Lillywhites).
In 2015, it was announced by Tottenham Hotspur that they would be visiting Denver July 27-29 as the Major League Soccer opponent for the 2015—and 20th Anniversary—MLS All-Star Game at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. This afforded the Colorado Spurs a unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to host, meet, and watch Tottenham Hotspur train and take on the best of MLS in Denver, CO on July 29, 2015—along with hosting a week-long soccer celebration with other Official Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Clubs from across the USA and around the world.
In 2018, Colorado Spurs finally found a home of our own at Esters Neighborhood Pub in Virginia Village.
